Job Overview
The Department of Marine Science at Coastal Carolina University is seeking applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Marine Biology, focusing on Nekton Ecology. Candidates with a Ph.D. in marine science, marine biology, or a related discipline are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching a range of courses, including introductory marine science, advanced marine biology lectures, and laboratory sessions, as well as specialized undergraduate and graduate courses aligned with their expertise. Preference will be given to applicants with post-doctoral experience.
We are particularly interested in candidates whose research interests in nekton ecology encompass fishes, fisheries, sharks, or marine mammals, especially in estuarine and coastal environments, with a focus on applied conservation and management challenges.
Research Expectations
New faculty members are expected to establish and maintain externally funded research programs that actively engage both undergraduate and graduate students.

Key Duties
- Deliver instruction in classroom and laboratory settings.
