Job Title: Classroom Technology Integration Consultant

Coastal Carolina University is seeking a highly skilled Classroom Technology Integration Consultant to join our team in the Office of Information Technology Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assessing campus spaces to perform installs of campus academic, administrative, and classroom IT/technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a secondary technical resource, coordinator, and consultant to assess campus spaces and perform installs for campus academic, administrative, and classroom IT/technology solutions.
  • Develop and implement project plans to manage existing or new smart classroom and campus technology initiatives.
  • Support the university's operation of classroom technology and audiovisual (AV) solutions for smart classrooms, conference rooms, and other managed spaces.
  • Provide training and support to faculty on the use of instructional technology equipment and set up or facilitate online audio and/or video conferencing for classroom instruction.
  • Assist in the development of technical support documentation and delivering technical training workshops for ITS and end-users on technology equipment.
  • Configure and repair technology hardware, including cameras, microphones, mixing boards, cables, and AV equipment associated with Digital Video Production classrooms, studios, YuJa, Livestream, and other distance learning applications/platforms and videoconferencing equipment.
  • Maintain classroom PC and Macs, AV equipment, checkout laptops, laptop carts, and video conferencing equipment in accordance with current ITS standards.
  • Support the servicing of classroom PCs, Macs, checkout laptops, AV equipment, and videoconferencing equipment for instructional use.
  • Assist with the successful coordination of support between vendors and campus constituents, and manage assigned projects to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales, or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems.
  • A degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology.
  • Two (2) years' experience in installing and supporting smart classroom or related technology.
  • One (1) year experience providing smart classroom or related technology training to end-users.
