Job Title: Graduate of Architecture

This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in architecture to join our team at Hooker DeJong, Inc. Architects, Engineers, Planners.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our project teams in the execution of project design and delivery of construction documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project teams in effective execution of project design and delivery of construction documents.
  • Participate in documentation and clarification efforts, as well as submittal review and site observation during bidding and construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and interior designers to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of construction codes and agency compliance.
  • Utilize Autodesk Revit software and/or AutoCAD to create and edit designs.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Desire to achieve licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge of all phases of design, from schematic design through construction administration and close-out.
  • Knowledge of construction codes and agency compliance.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with coordinating work with engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit software and/or AutoCAD a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work productively in a 'hybrid remote work' situation.
