Overview:
As a vital member of our manufacturing team, the CNC Press Brake Operator plays a crucial role in the production of truck and trailer components for a leading moving solutions provider. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies while contributing to a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access and manage CNC programs, set up tools, operate machinery, and troubleshoot various CNC press brakes.
- Execute tasks as outlined in work orders, blueprints, sketches, or verbal directives.
- Interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine the necessary operations.
- Utilize inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to conduct quality assessments on manufactured parts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures on the job site.
- Monitor machine operations to identify and resolve any malfunctions during production.
- Implement and uphold company policies regarding housekeeping, safety, and quality in daily tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Consistent attendance is essential.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is necessary.
- Ability to pass assessments in print reading, measurement, and fraction/decimal conversions.
- Familiarity with CNC brake presses is preferred, but training will be provided.
Work Environment:
This role involves moderate risks or discomforts that necessitate specific safety measures, such as working around moving machinery and potential exposure to fumes or chemicals. Protective gear may be required.
Physical Requirements:
The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, navigate workspaces, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs, either with assistance or independently.
