Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Preschool Lead to join our team at Cresthill Academy. As a key leader in our preschool program, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of our students.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ease young children into a structured educational environment, preparing them for kindergarten.
  • Contribute to the social and emotional development of the children, facilitating their transition into the next level of education.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, nurturing, and clean learning environment for the children.
  • Collaborate with an assistant teacher to improve classroom flow and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the interests and abilities of the children.
  • Balance teacher-directed and child-directed activities to promote optimal learning outcomes.
  • Monitor children's progress and prepare assessments to inform future instruction.
  • Ensure compliance with Cresthill Academy's Core Values, standards, and education program.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with preschool children in a daycare setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but will accept Associates' Degree in education or a related field or current CDA certification.
  • Exceptional understanding of child development principles and preschool educational methods.
  • Outstanding time management and problem-solving skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • The ability to lift up to 45 pounds daily, multiple times per day.
