Job Title: Industrial Insulation Specialist

At Zachry Group, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Insulation Specialist to join our team. As an Industrial Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for applying insulation, lagging, and siding to pipes, ducts, buildings, vessels, and equipment as required by project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify all tools required for tasks and ensure they are available and in good working condition.
  • Identify safety risks and take necessary precautions to eliminate those risks.
  • Measure, mark, and cut required wooden or metallic materials to specified specifications.
  • Install sheet metal around insulated pipes, equipment, buildings, and ducts with fasteners (screws) to protect insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
  • Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems, such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels, to control noise and maintain temperatures.
  • Clean up and maintain work areas.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience working as an Insulator on an industrial construction project.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and drawings proficiently to perform duties.
  • Knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction.
  • Ability to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.
  • Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
  • National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Insulator.
  • Formal/Technical education.
  • Experience working with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.
