Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emerging Assistant General Manager I to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our logistics and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in local and community organizations and philanthropic activities to advocate for company-sponsored programs and events.
  • Develop and implement strong partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Train and develop self in areas of operational acumen, leadership, end-to-end Supply Chain understanding, continuous improvement aptitude, and WPS execution.
  • Manage assigned financial responsibilities, including budget monitoring and tracking, asset management, and preparing, analyzing, and/or assessing corporate reports.
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in assigned areas of responsibility, providing direction, communicating objectives, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the assigned area's business plan to achieve facility goals and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and support compliance with supply chain and business quality standards, regulations, and established procedures across the facility.
  • Forecast and monitor staffing, workload, and performance results to ensure that workload and performance outcomes meet business requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
  • 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
  • OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates.
  • OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics Management through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Both Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 4 years experience as a general manager with total facility responsibility in an operations/distribution/logistics environment.
