Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at The Emerald Peek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care and treatment to patients with cardio-pulmonary, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and physical conditions that manifest into respiratory disorders over an extended period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Systems
    • Build and enhance the facility's reputation for being the unparalleled provider of Respiratory Therapy
    • Develop and implement systems to improve departmental operations
    • Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, clinical standards, and protocols
    • Implement new patient programs in accordance with facility policies
    • Conduct in-services as required
  • Financial Performance
    • Monitor and improve the financial performance of the Respiratory Therapy department
    • Develop and implement action plans to achieve budget projections
    • Manage key operations and financial levers to achieve revenue, productivity, and gross profit margin goals
  • Professional Development
    • Maintain current professional status and licensure
    • Adhere to professional standards of conduct and clinical code of ethics and practice
    • Provide new employee orientation and ongoing staff development programs
    • Develop and implement in-service orientation schedules
    • Maintain a current body of knowledge in areas of clinical expertise
  • Interdisciplinary Approach
    • Integrate findings of other members of the interdisciplinary team in treatment assessment and recommendations
    • Integrate input from patient and family in treatment assessment and recommendations
    • Prepare for and provide meaningful contributions to rehab team conferences, patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, family conferences, and caregiver training sessions
  • Safety and Quality
    • Identify and correct safety hazards or notify the facility administration
    • Maintain work areas in safe and orderly fashion
    • Maintain equipment in safe working order
    • Use proper body mechanics during treatments of patients and during support activities
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of respiratory community
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Skills applicable to clinical discipline
Compensation

$37 to $45 an hour
