About the Role

MITRE is seeking a highly skilled Agile Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering complex solutions to our government customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement full-stack solutions using frontend and backend applications and services.
  • Leverage AI-Enabled Systems and tools to drive innovation and efficiency in government solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from private, federal, state, and local sectors to deliver complex solutions using Software Development Lifecycle principles.
  • Build, administer, and manage processes that introduce DevOps concepts of testing, prototyping, security, automation, and more.
  • Continuously learn, excel, and deliver state-of-the-art solutions to tackle the nation's most pressing challenges.
Requirements
  • Basic Computer Science or related discipline, plus 2 years of applicable DevOps and related software lifecycle experience, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a US government clearance.
  • Professional experience in software development process, tools, and languages, including Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, XML, JSON, HTML/CSS, Shell, C/C++, C#, Ruby, Go, MySQL, MongoDB, and Git.
  • Proficiency in using software such as IntelliJ, VS Code, PyCharm, Eclipse, MySQL Workbench, and Git.
  • Experience with code merging and promotion, building and managing CI/CD workflows and tools.
  • Understanding of microservices and distributed application architecture.
  • Key skills include Agile Development, CI/CD, SCRUM, and System Design.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active clearance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing AI-Enabled systems and familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms and Deep Learning frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AI programming languages and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Experience with AI-related cloud services like AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible and Docker-Compose in production environments.
  • Advanced understanding of architecting and automating cloud native technologies, provisioning IaC, IaaS, or SaaS, and deploying applications.
  • Advanced skills in Data Management, including proficiency in using advanced software such as Hive, Hadoop, and Jenkins.
