Overview:
The Project Manager for Managed Services Implementation plays a crucial role in overseeing the execution of both domestic and international service activations. This position is integral to ensuring that all Managed Service Orders are processed efficiently, equipment and site milestones are tracked accurately, and that dispatches for Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) installations are coordinated seamlessly with client field operations and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and uphold project timelines and schedules, collaborating closely with transition leads.
- Conduct team meetings, ensuring that minutes and action items are documented and distributed.
- Establish and nurture effective communication channels with internal stakeholders across various departments including Sales, Professional Services, IT Operations, Development, Release Management, and Networking.
- Monitor tasks assigned to the project team and compile regular status updates.
- Track project modifications and generate revised schedules as necessary.
- Collect and report on performance metrics related to ongoing project progress.
- Facilitate smooth communication within the project team and with cross-functional teams.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on a consistent basis.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to track, monitor, and drive customer deliverables associated with managed orders.
- Proficient in scheduling implementations with customers and coordinating necessary internal resources.
- Skilled in monitoring sites for management acceptance and resolving issues effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A foundational understanding of telecommunications is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
- Ideal candidates will be organized, proactive, self-sufficient, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
