- Install, dismantle, assemble, replace, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems.
- Operate machinery required to fabricate special pieces or parts needed for repair of equipment.
- Respond to trouble calls related to immediate issues to help maintain continuity of operations.
- Identify and develop improvements to existing facilities or methods of operation.
- Determine material requirements and select appropriate materials to perform a job.
- High school or vocational school graduate or equivalent with the ability to read, write, and perform general mathematics.
- Completion of a state accredited skilled trades program or a state approved certified apprenticeship program in the field of machine repair and maintenance.
- 4 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance, including experience with overhead cranes and heavy industrial equipment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain P-307 crane operator qualification, rigger mechanic qualification, and rigging gear inspector certification.
