Compensation: $60,000 to $85,000 annually based on qualifications

Lee Auto Malls is seeking a skilled Production Manager/Estimator for our bustling body shop in Auburn. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the vehicle repair workflow, ensuring that each vehicle is assessed accurately and has a detailed repair strategy in place. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Repair Strategy Development: Conduct thorough evaluations of vehicle damage to formulate comprehensive repair plans, aiming to minimize the need for additional supplements. You will also make informed decisions regarding subcontracted repairs and manage the scheduling of such work to optimize overall cycle time.
  • Daily Production Coordination: Collaborate closely with the estimating team to devise the daily production schedule, ensuring efficient movement of vehicles across various departments.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as the primary contact between clients and insurance adjusters as necessary.
  • Work Assignment Distribution: Utilize your understanding of each technician's skills and experience to assign vehicles appropriately. Conduct daily meetings with technicians to discuss assignments and timelines.
  • Technician Oversight: Monitor the quality of work performed and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to the technician staff.
  • Work Allocation: Assign tasks to the relevant Body/Refinish Technicians.
  • Equipment Maintenance Coordination: Ensure that shop equipment is maintained properly, either personally or through the appropriate vendors.
  • OEM Certification Maintenance: Uphold the requirements set forth by manufacturers as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of collision repair processes, supported by a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the industry.
  • Familiarity with CCC One production management software is preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding repair processes, parts, and timelines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in industry training.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
