Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacist will be responsible for:
- Educating healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication management.
- Compounding and dispensing prescribed medications to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conducting professional and technical activities related to medication distribution, maintaining drug inventory, and managing patient records.
- Supervising pharmacy interns and technicians within the assigned area.
- Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain compliance and promote patient safety.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. from an accredited institution.
- Current Pharmacy License in the State of TX.
- IV Certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operational systems, including unit dose distribution, IV admixture, quality assurance, drug utilization review, pharmacy computer systems, and automated dispensing equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience as a pharmacist.
