Distribution Director

WernerCo is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Director to oversee and manage all aspects of our distribution operations. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of our products, while achieving the optimum cost structure and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety First: Champion a safety-first mindset across all sites and drive continuous improvement ideas that promote safe working behaviors.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the distribution budget with finance partners, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Strategic Planning: Develop strategies to reduce distribution spend as a percentage of sales and implement distribution strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of distribution managers, supervisors, and staff across all distribution locations, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Process Improvement: Partner with OPEX leader to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices across all sites, utilizing data and analytics to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction.
- Vendor and Partner Relations: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with landlords, vendors, and other external partners, negotiating contracts and service agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address performance gaps.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology and automation to enhance distribution capabilities, staying abreast of technological advancements in logistics and supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within Logistics and Distribution, with multi-site level management of 100,000 sqft+ facilities, and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced skills on all Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Expected travel up to 25%.
- Experience with Labor Management, Advanced WMS, and ability to pull data from multiple data sources, including BI/COGNOS, JDE, and vendor portals.
