Job Summary

The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of imaging services in the Radiology Department. This includes ensuring that exams are performed in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner, in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of radiology technologists and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of imaging services.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and education to staff members on new procedures and technologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Participate in shared governance and departmental committees to promote a culture of service excellence.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in radiology or a related field.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography in two imaging modalities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
