Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit at Sentara Healthcare. This is a full-time, 36-hour per week, night shift position that requires a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and admit patients, rounding checks, and administer medications as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with family members and provide responsible care for patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
