We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other bodily fluids from patients for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other bodily fluids from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Accurately label and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Ensure timely transport and distribution of specimens to laboratory sections
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
- Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course
- American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a patient service technician/phlebotomist
- 2-3 years of phlebotomist experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs of force
