Position Overview: The role of a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer is pivotal within our organization at American National Bank of Texas. This position focuses on the origination of residential mortgage loans, assessing the creditworthiness and repayment capabilities of clients, while ensuring the quality and profitability of each loan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders to enhance loan volume and revenue.
- Collect and document loan applications, evaluate credit profiles, and maintain communication with borrowers throughout the lending process.
- Address customer inquiries, foster referrals, and provide education to applicants regarding mortgage options.
- Remain updated on market trends in real estate and mortgage regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential lending.
- Familiarity with real estate legislation and FNMA standards.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and NMLS registration is mandatory.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Word.
- Strong mathematical abilities and effective communication skills.
