Senior Mortgage Loan Officer

The Senior Mortgage Loan Officer is a key role within American National Bank of Texas, responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and ensuring the creditworthiness of customers. This position requires a strong understanding of real estate laws and FNMA selling and servicing guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain relationships with referral and industry sources to originate investment-quality mortgage loans.
  • Interface with borrowers to take and document loan applications, determining creditworthiness and evaluating collateral.
  • Communicate with borrowers throughout the loan process, setting expectations and negotiating terms.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and generate referrals for other bank services.
  • Stay up-to-date with local real estate market conditions and changes in rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in residential construction and permanent lending, with compliance training and knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation for making outside sales calls.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word.
  • Basic keyboarding and calculator skills.
