Job Summary:

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our transit bus fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual requirements are met, managing a team of technicians, and maintaining a safe and efficient maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct a team of technicians to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance program that meets or exceeds contractual requirements.
  • Manage and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that all necessary materials are available when needed.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance programs and ensure that all expenses are accounted for.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including management, technicians, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, managing a team of technicians and overseeing maintenance operations.
  • Experience working with transit bus maintenance shops, with a focus on fixed route transit bus maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to manage and interface with clients, including communicating effectively in written and oral formats.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • ASE or manufacturer's certifications a plus.
