Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability. This includes training team members on technical processes, planning and assigning work, and appraising performance. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to coach and manage multiple associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Interviews, hires, and trains associates
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work
  • Appraises performance and addresses complaints
  • Builds positive associate morale and promotes a healthy work environment
  • Develops and implements scheduled Preventive Maintenance (P.M's)
  • Develops work schedules of the mechanics
  • Directs mechanics in performing proper and correct repairs
  • Enforces parts room procedures and safety policies
  • Promotes Food Safety in all areas of Maintenance
Requirements:
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with company fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with company safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of company assets
  • Ability to utilize all company provided resources and technology
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Proficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to effectively adapt to change
  • Frequent walking and exposure to noise
