Gentiva Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. As a Hospice Aide/CNA, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to patients and their families in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist patients with ambulation and mobility, including the safe use of walkers or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve light meals and snacks, as well as assist with feeding patients when needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including light housekeeping tasks such as emptying trash and changing linens.
- Report any changes in patient condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Six (6) months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology.
- Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Current CPR certification.
