We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services department at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health). As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including mobile units, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and immobilization, to ensure optimal results.
- Assist with patient and procedure room preparation, including setting up equipment and supplies.
- Perform procedures on patients to produce optimal diagnostic images, under supervision.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Review and label diagnostic images to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Utilize health information systems to navigate patient records and input information.
- Current/valid registration and certification in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current/valid accreditation as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Illinois (IEMA).
- Current/Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
