Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide high-quality care to our members, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for members with a range of mental health needs, including assessment, diagnosis, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and their families on medication regimens, treatment plans, and other aspects of care.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to state and NCQA regulations.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to the growth and improvement of our mental health services.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) or equivalent licensure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, evidence-based practices, and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and participate in the department on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention and individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity, with a commitment to quality of service and teamwork.
