Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Check-in: Ensure that all shelter residents are greeted and registered upon arrival, maintaining a system for checking residents in and out when they leave for any period.
  • Record Keeping: Manage the system of record keeping for shelter registrations, accurately acquiring, evaluating, and reporting information.
  • Communication: Interact with the community in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs, and participate in regular meetings.
  • Problem Solving: Involve appropriate others in managing problems and conflict, and work well with others in a dynamic and stressful environment.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift/carry 20 lbs. multiple times/shifts, stand/sit for two-hour periods, bend/stoop multiple times, step up/down 18 inches, and climb two or more flights of stairs.
Requirements
  • Background Check: Pass a level 1 background check.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in the social services and/or health care fields.
  • Skills: Able to follow procedures and job tools, including reporting requirements, and possess active listening skills, good organizational skills, and accountability.
Deployment and Onboarding

Each applicant interested in supporting in Florida will need to be ready for deployment with 6 hours of receiving the notice to travel and arrive at the designated site within 12-hours from the notice. Each applicant will need to complete their onboarding packet.
