Overview of the Job

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to enter the workforce or return to the workforce with limited experience and education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

About the Role:

This position involves providing top-notch cleaning and maintenance services to ensure a clean and healthy environment. The successful candidate will be expected to follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, as well as notify management of any minor or major repairs required.

The right individual will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and management team members. They will also be responsible for adhering to safety standards, security protocols, and quality procedures set by the company and regulatory authorities.

Duties of the Position:

• Cleaning and maintaining buildings and facilities, ensuring they are spotless and hygienic

• Effective use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, avoiding damage to floors and fixtures

• Reporting any necessary minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems to management

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers

• Adhering to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures

• Cleaning furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment regularly

• Moving cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or using hand trucks to access clean areas

• Cleaning interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees

• Washing and replacing blinds as needed

• Emptying trash and recyclables efficiently

• Sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, removing snow, and performing other seasonal tasks as required

• Wiping and cleaning tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas

• Maintaining restrooms in a clean and sanitary state, ensuring adequate supply of toiletries and paper products
