Mower Operator

This position is responsible for effectively and safely removing trees on utility right-of-way while operating a mower and other forestry-related equipment.

As a Mower Operator at Asplundh, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and innovative line clearance services for the utility industry.

• Operate mowing tractors with hand and foot controls, using weed whackers and brush cutters.
• Transport equipment to and from job locations, loading and unloading equipment onto trucks or trailers.
• Install and remove gates, fences, and barb-wire.
• Operate power saws and chainsaws to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Rake debris and trash.
• Gather brush and feed it into a wood chipper.
• Assist senior spray persons in mixing herbicide in holding tanks.
• Apply chemical herbicide to the right-of-way.
• Service trucks, chippers, and other equipment to keep them in clean, neat, and specified mechanical condition.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience operating a mower.

Asplundh is a full-service utility contractor that performs tree pruning and removals, right-of-way clearing and maintenance, vegetation management with herbicides, and emergency storm work and logistical support.
