About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Carlsbad. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and enforcing laws and regulations. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Patrolling the city to prevent and investigate crimes
  • Responding to emergency calls and providing assistance to the public
  • Conducting investigations and gathering evidence
  • Testifying in court and presenting evidence
  • Collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to share information and best practices
  • Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
