Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team at Gable Search Group. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and site safety activities in partnership with project managers and the executive team.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, negotiate subcontractor agreements, and supervise construction projects from design through project completion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential schedule conflicts and implement solutions in a budget-friendly and proactive manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction site management, with a proven track record of successful projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and follow up on project progress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and motivate teams.
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage project schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical construction documents, including blueprints, finish schedules, submittals, and equipment specs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction Management degree or similar.
  • Proficiency in Procore Construction Management Software.
  • Experience in project estimation and negotiation with subcontractors.
