We are a leading provider of mental health services in Connecticut, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to individuals, families, and communities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a provisionally licensed mental health therapist to join our team on a part-time fee-for-service basis. As a therapist with Stokes Counseling Services, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse client populations, conduct standardized counseling sessions, and provide timely and professional services.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake/biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental and behavioral health status.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses and short-term and long-term treatment plans tailored to individual clients' needs.
  • Provide timely and professional counseling services to scheduled clients utilizing professional counseling industry standards.
  • Identify and refer clients with urgent mental health conditions to appropriate emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent documentation of clinical and counseling services, including billing information.
Requirements
  • Provisionally licensed mental health therapist in the State of Connecticut (LPCA, LMSW, or MFTA).
  • Minimum of one year of experience conducting counseling/talk therapy sessions with diverse client populations.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide and maintain documentation within the appropriate time frames.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice.
