Job Summary

Tempus Unlimited Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Skills Trainer to join our team. As a Senior Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for educating consumers on how to successfully manage their consumer-directed hands-on care. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess consumers' ability to manage PCA services and provide training on the skills needed to manage their PCA program.
  • Follow up on assigned referrals in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality in all consumer-related issues.
  • Attend in-service, supervision, and staff development meetings as requested by the manager.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of program policies and procedures, as well as Mass Health regulations.
  • Work within company policies and in accordance with the PCM Contract to complete and track required documentation within required timelines.
  • Return all phone calls from surrogates and consumers within 48 hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Skills Trainer Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience providing services for persons with disabilities and knowledge of PCA programs is preferred.
  • Experience or education in teaching or counseling is helpful.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social service systems is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and the ability to navigate databases.

The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Travel
  • Travel is required for this position. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel within assigned service area.
