Athletic Training Specialist

Job Summary
The Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer to provide medical services for student-athletes participating in a Division III athletic program. The successful candidate will work directly with the full-time Athletic Training staff to ensure the health and well-being of our student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical services, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, for student-athletes
- Work closely with the Athletic Training staff to develop and implement injury prevention programs
- Assist with the administration of athletic training room operations, including inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Athletics and Student Life, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student-athlete health and wellness
- Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers and other external partners to ensure access to quality medical care for student-athletes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training; Master's degree preferred
- Massachusetts State licensure and BOC Certification
- AED/First aid and CPR certified
Working Conditions
The part-time Athletic Trainer will work a variable schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed. The hourly rate for this position is $35/hour.
