Job Title: Transmission Engineering Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Engineering Supervisor to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supervising a staff of technical designers and engineers responsible for the development of engineering designs, cost estimates, and communication of technical and design information to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise technical staff in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
  • Manage schedules and assign technical staff projects and daily work.
  • Manage the development of the technical staff through mentoring, instructing on technical engineering principles, and governing electrical and safety codes.
  • Collaborate with the department managers to develop, evaluate, and implement new policies and procedures which reflect best engineering practices.
  • Perform the duties of the Transmission Engineering Manager when the manager is unavailable.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Active PE licensure.
  • 10+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design.
  • Professional disposition and the ability to be open-minded when it comes to planning and execution of projects being worked on by staff.
  • Must be able to effectively supervise a team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
