Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Swift Transportation. As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all company-owned equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete quality preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all company-owned equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications
  • Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components
  • Perform tire maintenance, including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of vehicle systems and basic vehicle maintenance
  • High school or combination of training and/or experience required
  • Driver's license required
  • Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
  • Ability to read and understand repair manuals, fill tags, and repair orders
  • Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractors and trailers
  • Must possess computer skills
