Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with aircraft standards set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Maintain the airworthiness of aircraft and their components during service and scheduled maintenance.
  • Execute tasks in accordance with FAA regulations, company protocols, and directives from supervisory personnel.
  • Certify the quality of workmanship, including signing off on mechanical flight releases for field operations.
  • Complete necessary documentation and digital entries for maintenance activities.
  • Perform a diverse range of tasks including dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, assembling, welding, and erecting various aircraft components, such as airframes, engines, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct testing and inspections of parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • If qualified, may be tasked with taxiing and towing aircraft for maintenance purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Valid state driver's license; some restrictions may apply.
  • Ability to distinguish colors including red, green, yellow, blue, black, brown, white, and orange.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • FCC General Radio Telephone Operators license.

Additional Information:

  • Mechanics must possess a valid passport and the ability to travel as required.
  • This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Must pass FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access to security areas.
  • Must be able to obtain necessary airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
  • Federal law mandates a review of any history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violations prior to hiring for safety-sensitive roles.
