Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
- Under the supervision of nursing staff, deliver health-related services such as medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes in resident conditions.
- Engage in household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and facilitating recreational activities.
- Monitor residents and communicate observations to the appropriate team members.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Support the Director of Health Services with staffing assignments for Resident Assistants.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, demonstrating compassion and kindness towards residents and colleagues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Interest in working with a diverse elderly population.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- This position offers a pathway for career advancement for current Resident Assistants after a minimum tenure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED, or completion of a formal Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide program.
- Prior experience in roles such as Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Direct Support Professional, or Personal Care Assistant.
