About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at The Geneva Suites. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a comfortable home setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities (ADLs) such as shampooing of hair, showering/bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
  • Administer medications as delegated by the Registered Nurse per residents care plan
  • Take and record vitals (temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration) as instructed
  • Monitor and report changes in resident symptoms, behaviors, and conditions (both physical and emotional) to nursing team
  • Document services performed and observations during shift in our electronic charting system (rTasks)
  • Engage with residents through activities, reading, talking, and other forms of interaction
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and laundry
  • Report any issues with equipment or maintenance needed in the home
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures
Requirements
  • Previous caregiving experience - preferably in an Assisted Living setting
  • CNA/HHA certification preferred but not required
  • Dependable and able to work a consistent work schedule that includes every other weekend
  • Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English
  • Patient with others
