We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of service technicians, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining service quality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading a team of HVAC service technicians.
  • Monitoring and managing service calls, work orders, and technician schedules.
  • Ensuring all service activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Developing and managing the service department budget.
  • Monitoring financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Implementing cost-control measures and strategies to achieve financial targets.
  • Monitoring job progress, providing technical support, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing training and development for service technicians.
  • Overseeing inventory management, ensuring adequate stock of parts and equipment.
  • Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Implementing and maintaining service policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on service department performance.
  • Addressing and rectifying any quality or performance issues.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in residential and light commercial HVAC service, with at least two years in a managerial role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in using service management software and other relevant tools.
  • HVAC certification is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement strategic improvements.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in using service management software and tools.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record pursuant to company policy.
