Job Title: Senior IT Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for directing technical work on projects, leading rollouts of router and switch upgrades for the Military Sealift Command (MSC) fleet, and performing various analyses and preparing documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct technical work on projects
  • Lead rollouts of router and switch upgrades for the MSC fleet
  • Perform various analyses and prepare documentation
  • Prepare and make briefings and presentations
  • Work independently and install, operate, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and repair IT systems devices, circuits, cables, components, software, and end-user devices, components, and connectivity
  • Assist in the development and management of project plans to include the review of task performance and work products for correctness, for adherence to design concepts and user requirements, and for progress IAW schedules
  • Coordinate with the Contractor's project manager and Government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters

Requirements:

  • 7 years of progressive IT experience including at least 5 projects in technical areas
  • Experience leading teams
  • Security + CE certification; certification in current MSC operating systems
  • CCNA Certification (or obtain within 6 months of start date)
  • High School diploma
