Job Opportunity

Bachus & Schanker, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and organized Litigation Paralegal to join its dynamic Litigation team in the Denver office. This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday, offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000, DOE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transition case files from pre-litigation to litigation
  • Order and manage litigation medical records for clients
  • Assist in drafting complaints and other legal documents
  • File and serve complaints, as well as upload documents to client files
  • Track case management orders and pretrial deadlines
  • Calendar deadlines for plaintiff fact sheets and expert disclosures
  • Prepare and serve plaintiff fact sheets on defendants
  • Assist in drafting and sending requests for production and interrogatories
  • Schedule depositions and mediations
  • Support the drafting and filing of subpoenas and service processes
  • Follow up with clients on necessary information and productions
  • Schedule meetings with experts and assist in drafting expert disclosures
  • Prepare and mail client letters, as well as updates to co-counsel
  • Respond to requests from co-counsel and maintain case files
  • Assist with settlement distributions and lien resolution
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office software and legal software
  • Knowledge of litigation concepts, terminology, and procedures
  • Strong working knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Frequent communication with clients to provide case updates
  • Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Outstanding proofreading skills
  • Compassion, energy, and enthusiasm
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of experience in a law firm setting as a Paralegal
