About the Job

We offer a competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This full-time position involves working night shifts, with a minimum of 6 months of medical/surgical experience required.

As a Nursing Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with departmental requirements and state nursing standards. You will work collaboratively with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.'

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Performing procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administering prescribed medications, monitoring patients for therapeutic response, and taking appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication.
  • Educating patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • At least 6 months of medical/surgical experience.
