Job Summary

The Hospital Risk Pool Financial Analyst Lead is a critical role within MedPOINT Management, responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of financial reports, clinical presentations, and business analysis. This includes the accurate quantification and measurement of clinical outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with hospital teams to develop and package financial products and reports tailored to meet the specific needs of MPM clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the team of Hospital Risk Pool Financial Analysts in the preparation and delivery of financial reports, clinical presentations, and business analysis.
  • Develop and maintain processes for the preparation of financial reports, Board decks, and client joint operations committees meeting materials.
  • Work closely with hospital teams to develop and package financial products and reports tailored to meet the specific needs of MPM clients.
  • Lead the operationalization of the transition of accounting functions and financial reporting into the ERP.
  • Ensure the effective and timely delivery of quality financial/information products and reports to MPM clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Physician Organization or Health Plan, Hospital Finance, and/or Health Plan experience.
  • Definitive understanding of provider and health plan contracting, delineation of risk, medical terminology, and standard industry reimbursement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including integrating with SQL Server, pivots, lookups, and reprocessing data using Power Query (ETL).
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills, including query tuning, views, functions, and job scheduling.
  • Experience with Power BI and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar concepts quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
