Team and Role Summary

The Solutions Consultant delivers strategic and technical consulting services to clients focused on Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) Information Systems. As the senior technical member on client engagements, the Solutions Consultant serves as the trusted advisor and is responsible for the overall delivery of a high-quality software solution that meets client needs and expectations. This role entails leading design sessions to gather client requirements, crafting a technical solution to fulfill those requirements, and overseeing system configuration and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison on delivery projects.
  • Facilitate and lead design sessions to capture client requirements.
  • Analyze client needs and design system solutions adhering to industry best practices while leveraging expertise.
  • Identify and create EHSQ solutions to address client challenges or opportunities.
  • Prepare design and as-built documentation to effectively communicate the solution to both the J.S. Held technical team and the client.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure the delivery of a quality solution to the client in accordance with the J.S. Held Project Delivery Methodology.
  • Supervise Application Specialists to finalize the configuration of the solution design.
  • Conduct functional testing of the configuration to guarantee a quality deliverable to the client.
  • Provide system administration training to clients.
  • Deploy the solution to the production environment.
  • Assume additional project roles, such as Business Analyst/Trainer as needed.

Sales Support

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to provide technical solution details during the sales process.
  • Contribute to the creation of estimates for upcoming sales opportunities.
  • Engage with existing clients to explore additional avenues for expanding their product utilization.
  • Attend conferences to support sales teams in generating leads.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on the software platform and related technical skills.
  • Understand industry best practices in enterprise information architecture models, integrations, capability models, process definitions, and enterprise operating models.

Required Qualifications

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong skills in application configuration and development.
  • Functional understanding of SaaS technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with EHS, Risk, and Sustainability Software.

Skills:

  • Facilitation: Lead internal and client sessions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leadership: Mentor and guide other technical project team members, collaborating with the Project Manager to manage client relations.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with clients, project team members, and other key stakeholders through proficient communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Gather client requirements and develop system solutions that align with those needs.
  • Creative Thinking: Demonstrate flexibility and find innovative approaches to problem-solving and project delivery.
  • Customer Service: Strive to meet and exceed client expectations throughout project execution.
  • Detail Orientation: Ensure thorough requirements gathering and comprehensive solution design.
  • Problem Solving: Clearly define problems, generate alternatives, and make decisions that advance the project.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cority is advantageous, enhancing the ability to excel in this role.
  • Background in developing object-oriented applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery client-side frameworks is beneficial.
  • Functional knowledge of UML notation, Restful APIs, and JSON notation is an asset.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $70,000 - $130,000 USD per year, based on various factors including skillset, experience, training, location, role scope, and management responsibility.
