Nutrition Specialist Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a key member of our Nutrition and Food Service department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing evidence-based nutrition interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with our interdisciplinary teams to design and implement nutrition programs, provide education and counseling to patients, and conduct research to inform best practices in nutrition care. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement evidence-based nutrition interventions to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Conduct research to inform best practices in nutrition care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field
  • Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
