Radiation Therapy Specialist

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapy Specialist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiation therapy services to our patients.
About the Role:
- Perform direct and indirect patient care duties in accordance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist in special procedures, such as treatment planning and delivery.
- Participate in the clinical supervision of radiation therapy students.
- Maintain confidentiality and dignity while caring for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patients/treatment plan parameters, scheduling patient appointments, and assigning appropriate billing codes.
- Provide ongoing training of clinical techniques, new procedures, and orient new staff to departmental policies and procedures.
- Detect and immediately report equipment malfunction to the Lead or Chief Therapist, Chief Medical Physicist, and Engineer.
- Operate all therapeutic equipment according to manufacturer's standards and departmental policy.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology; T registration and CT Licensure required.
- Minimum of 5 years radiation therapy experience.
- Minimum of one to three years within the YNHHS Radiation Oncology department.
