Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, Virginia. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care to psychiatric and geriatric patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Summary:

The LPN will be responsible for providing a variety of patient care services, including administering medications and treatments, maintaining patient records, promoting health and wellness education, and communicating with patients and families to ensure continuity of care. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospital or inpatient setting and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments, and maintaining patient records.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements:
  • Current Virginia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or license eligible.
  • Experience working as an LPN in a hospital or inpatient setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
