Position Overview

Join Our Team

Westcal Management is in search of a Landscape Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our dynamic and inclusive workforce. This role is essential for ensuring the upkeep of the grounds at our mid-sized residential community.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, ensuring they are free from litter and debris, including but not limited to:
    • Cleaning external fixtures and ensuring they are functional.
    • Conducting property inspections, collecting trash, and reporting safety concerns or maintenance needs to the Property Manager.
    • Keeping model tour routes and office areas tidy.
    • Managing trash disposal areas and maintaining cleanliness around dumpsters and pet waste stations.
    • Cleaning and upkeeping common areas such as the office, clubhouse, restrooms, fitness center, package locker room, and pool/spa facilities.
  • Assist with various physical tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Clearing out vacant apartments by removing furniture, appliances, and debris.
    • Relocating appliances, planters, and supplies as necessary.
    • Helping to prepare vacant units for new residents.
    • Planting and maintaining flowers and shrubs, trimming trees, and performing landscaping tasks as directed.
    • Painting common area trim and curbs as required.
    • Collaborating with the Property Manager to manage inventory of necessary supplies.
    • Setting up and dismantling for resident events.
    • Completing other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and address community needs proactively.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs or more.

Driving Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain current vehicle registration and insurance.
  • Regularly required to use personal transportation for travel between properties.
  • Occasionally responsible for picking up supplies from vendors.
