Oceans Healthcare is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and effective care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver quality nursing care to assigned patients, collecting data and identifying deviations from normal.
- Assist with reassessing patients according to assignments, need, and unit protocol, under the direction of the registered nurse.
- Accurately and thoroughly document all findings in the patient record and identify expected outcomes based on assessment data.
- Effectively communicate pertinent assessment findings with other healthcare members.
- Implement nursing care interventions identified in the individualized multidisciplinary treatment plan, using accepted standards of practice in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Conduct specified bedside laboratory tests, wound care, and provide for comfort and assistance in the performance of ADLs.
- Promote the patient's ability to cope, adapt, and/or solve situations related to illness and/or stressors.
- Provide supportive, age-appropriate communication and culturally acceptable interventions and document special needs.
- Provide for the safe delivery of medications in accordance with facility policies and physician orders.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- Valid Compact licenses are also acceptable as they apply.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One year of inpatient hospital experience is strongly preferred.
