Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join our team at the U.S. Department of the Interior. As a Geologist, you will play a critical role in conducting geological investigations, analyzing data, and preparing reports to support the department's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct geological investigations, including fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Analyze and interpret geological data to identify trends, patterns, and relationships.
  • Prepare detailed reports, figures, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Geology or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in geological investigations, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of geological principles, theories, and methods.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Geology or a related field.
  • Experience with geological software and tools.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience working with government agencies or private industry.
