Job Overview:
LHH is teaming up with an HVAC company in Sacramento, CA to fill 2 Labor Estimator positions. These are direct hire roles that require on-site work.
Responsibilities:
- We need experienced estimators who can compile comprehensive estimates and draft final proposals for prime contract and subcontract bids using design/build and plan/spec delivery methods.
- The ideal candidate will be skilled in analyzing project plans to determine material and labor costs, identifying subcontractor scopes, and understanding trade specifications and general conditions outlined in project manuals.
- For the design/build method, the estimator will conceptualize the project scope by reviewing site visit videos, collaborating with internal engineers, and examining basic sketches to establish a cost basis.
- Effective communication with Project Managers, Subcontractors, and General Contractors is crucial.
- Ongoing responsibilities include receiving and leveling subcontractor and vendor quotations, reprioritizing tasks in a dynamic schedule, and applying knowledge of labor rates and material costs.
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Sheet Metal or Plumbing Estimator required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with estimating software preferred
- Able to analyze labor and apply factors for varying conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, ESOP, and more. The worksite type is fully on-site in Sacramento, CA, with regular working hours from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM and a 1-hour lunch break.
Work Environment:
